Its amazing to me how far expositors go to twist facts like this: Rabbinical and Islamic sources claim Cain and Abel were not twins, that Cain’s twin sister Luluwa (also Aclima or Kalmana) had an arranged marriage with her younger brother Abel and our of jealousy Cain killed Abel.
The sons and daughters Adam gave birth to were after the 130 year interval following the murder of Abel; the only named daughter is Namaah, now whether she married Noah I don’t know; Rabbis think so which likely makes it wrong.
When Adam, Eve and Cain leave Eden for Nod, there are no other women and God is not influencing affairs, so I stick with Cain and Eve giving birth to 6 generations before Adam (notice Eve is not mentioned in Gen 5:4; Adam is the name of Adam and Eve) has more children.

I think it reasonable to assume that Cain and Abel were in their mid teens (at least) when one murdered the other.
God having blessed them to have many children, I think it unreasonable to assume no daughters were born to Adam and Eve during those years.
Whilst the Scriptures are silent on the matter, and not to put too fine a point on it, a sexless marriage would not only amount to disobedience to God, it would also be totally unatural.

Eve and Adam had already disobeyed God, JESUS. What problem would they see in furtherance of disobedience and rebellion. Eve continued sexual relations for sure, with the wrong husband, her son. Perhaps her real husband as well. But she I feel was the mother of Cain’s children. An incestuous unholy marriage to her son, her murderous son Cain.
The daughters came from her own son. She was the world’s first witch, mother of incest, and showed the world what SPIRITUALLY ADULTERY really looked like.

Hi Jayne. That may well be, but as they were likely in mid to late teen, when Abel was killed, reason demands that daughters must have been born to Adam and Eve. For we know that Cain was afraid that EVERYONE would kill him if he was found (Genesis 4:14) which is why the LORD set a mark upon him. And this was before Cain travelled to Nod with his wife who became pregnant.
Furthermore, whilst we don’t know at what point the sons of God appeared on the scene, Genesis 6 strongly indicates there was an abundance of women at the time.
In fact, at this crucial point for mankind, the ratio of female to male would need to be much higher.
