The only way Earth’s atmosphere can remain attached is expansion; for Earth the rate is 32ft/s2 or 1 G. If the Stars moved in circular tracks, rather than the Earth rotating, the entire vault of Heaven would move in unison and experience nearly infinite accelerations, especially near the apparent horizon. Firmament means “Expanse or Emptiness”; not words used to describe a rotating shell or canopy. This would also be impossible in Big Bang Theory.

Keeping track of Time is made possible by the Earth’s wobble on its axis; caused by the Flood creating mountains and valleys.
