Unhewn stone is the only type of acceptable Altar to the LORD for a hanged body is a Curse described in Deut 21:23
Jesus was hung on a Tree, taking the Curse of the world upon Himself, a Curse brought about by hanging from a tree.
Why would the LORD command an altar of unhewn stone to be built on the barren mountain of Mt Ebal rather than Mt Gerizim? We need God’s forgiveness of Sin not blessings of a false Priest, Pastor, Rabbi or Imam.
Of what value is a Samaritan Blessing? Absolutely nothing. Samaritan Kohens have assumed the Levite Priesthood in Israel; they are all Baalims “Worthless”.

The point is Everyone Sins all the time! The only remission of Sin is via the Holy Ghost and JESUS is the Holy Ghost!
Man builds Temples and Altars made of Hewn Stone all the time; every church, mosque and synagogue has them. Solomon’s Temple, the 2nd Temple and the soon to be built 3rd Temple are all examples of hewn stone Temples and Altars which have or will be destroyed by God.
Abram 1st sojourned in Shechem (Nablus; Gen 12:6) 2 miles East of Beth-El (House of El/Saturn) and built an altar of unhewn stones to the LORD. Shechem divides Mt Ebal and “Curses” from Mt Gerizem and “Blessings” from the offspring of Jacob’s 2 lawful wives. The tribes of Israel are thus divided between Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin on Mt Gerizem (Curse) and Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulon, Dan on Mt Ebal (Blessing)

So, back to Mt Ebal (Curses) versus Mt Gerizem (Blessings) At first, one may think hearing “Blessings” is a good thing, but my contention is hearing “Curses” ie our Sins is far more healthy; a condition requiring our petition of Jesus Christ via the Holy Ghost (Dove was the bird that returned to Noah’s Ark; the Crow did not) to receive Remission. Sin Heb 9:22 the shedding of blood is necessary for the remission of Sin; only the perfect blood of Jesus, will suffice however, and that is accessible only through the Holy Ghost, a condition everyone following Rabbis, Imams, Catholic Priests and in fact most every Protestant Church by accepting Calvin’s (Samaritan Cohen) TULIP (Total Depravity, Unconditional Election to Salvation, Irresistible Grace, Fixed Pre-destination) reject.
Gerizim means “Mountain cut in 2”; Ebal means “Heap of Ruin” or “Bel/Baal is Ruin”; Ebal also has elements of Annul, Worthless, Calamity, Twist, Distort and Guilt.
